Montreal - Thursday, October 8, 2020

The Quebec government has issued Decree 1039-2020 on October 7, 2020, indefinitely postponing school board elections  in red zones scheduled for November 1 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The election for commissioner in Ward 3 (Westmount-Sud Ouest) has been suspended. As a result, the work of the electoral revision office will halt activities and resume when a new date is chosen.  The By-Mail voting is cancelled and those who were permitted to vote by mail will also be contacted when the election process resumes.

About the °µÍøÁÔÆæ

With a youth and adult sector population of more than 37,000 students, the °µÍøÁÔÆæ (°µÍøÁÔÆæ) is the largest English public school board in Quebec. Established on July 1, 1998, when the province created new boards along linguistic lines, our network consists of 77 schools and centres. For more details, visit the °µÍøÁÔÆæ website at www.emsb.qc.ca.
